The Atlanta PC
Users Group (AtlPCUG) provides a place for new Users, old hands, and
pros to share their experiences using the personal computer.
The AtlPCUG meets at 7:00 p.m., the second Wednesday of each month
at the
North Fulton
County, Government Service Center. The monthly main meeting and
interest group (SIG) meetings give members the chance to exchange
experiences, solve problems, make cyber friends, and learn about new
software and hardware.
Nationally known software and hardware vendors are continually
presenting the latest products at the monthly main meeting. Members
are able to learn about the latest products as they are released.
Giveaways occur at most main meetings of the AtlPCUG. There is a
chance to win anything from a mouse pad or T-shirt to valuable
software or hardware.
LPT1: Atlanta
is the monthly newsletter of the AtlPCUG. All events and schedules
of the user group are reported in LPT1: Atlanta. Reviews of
the monthly meeting and other special events appear in the
newsletter. Humor, software and hardware reviews, and more also may
appear in the pages of
LPT1: Atlanta.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are smaller meetings of members
focused on one type of process, product or domain. Through the SIGs,
members are able to learn how to use a product, pick-up tips, and
solve a specific problems. SIGs are developed as groups of members
become interested in a more in-depth experience.
Help is at the heart of the AtlPCUG. The Atlanta PC Users Group was
founded to provide help to its members through the exchange of
experience and skills. Members continually bring problems with
software and hardware to meetings. Usually another member has the
solution and more. Members range from software developers, LAN
administrators to the novice home
user.
